pathfinder camp in DK

So this will be my last blog for a couple of weeks. I'm leaving in a few hours (by bus, all the way to Arlanda... Zzz). I can't believe it's been 5 years since my last camp. Poland 2002! Does that mean that I'm old... :S

I just checked the weather and guess what; It will rain at least until Tuesday! But I'm positive! Of course! I'm ALWAYS positive (please sense the irony). Maybe it will look somewhat like last time:

At least I found a pair of rain boots that fit me, so I don't have to have cold feet for 10 days =) I'm hoping the tent that Thomas found for me can keep the rain out!

DENMARK HERE I COME!

women know your limits

So last night was probably my last evening here at Ekebyholm (except for the Saturday evening in August when I have to pack) So I spent it well (a subjective opinion) starting out with eating dinner with Jonna o Blommanat Trädgården, then I stopped by Anna G on the way home and we had a few laughs. And she showed me this old documentary and I must say that everything they say still stands strong today.

Oh and I'm gonna make an awful attempt at translating a "funny" joke my co-worker (who's round 60 years old) at my summer job told me:

A Jew and a Swede is in the sauna.
After a while the Jew notices something and looking at the Swede's genital parts he bursts out:
"Oh I really didn't know that Swedes also have circumsition! I thought I was the only one around here."
The Swede answers:
"Oh... in Sweden we just call it wear and tear."

ho ho :P

Yes we were great staff! (Especially You, Anna!)

in Metro (newspaper)

Sofie found this in the Metro paper, and of course she thought it was sent in by me. But it wasn't me!!! (And I'm very curious who it was, and who if was for).
BUT: First of all I didn't even now you could send greetings through that paper, second; neither me nor Andreas reads that paper, and third; I would never call myself "puckot" (eng: moron)!

miss you

Now Andreas has left and I wont see him for over two weeks :(

This means I'll be watching alot of Nip/Tuck and play Sudoku till I drop...

Sudoku Puzzles

I'm going to the Danish pathfinders camp on Friday and will stay in Denmark until Thursday the 9th of August. And the 15th of August we (me and Andreas) will be taking the ferry from Esbjerg to Harwich and another year at Newbold will begin. This year will probably be very different from the previous since Andreas is working full time at Grounds department. This means that our Christmas break is only 10 days and we'll have no mid-, spring- or easter break!!! urk!

Hopefully this will lead to me being a better student this year, but I'm guessing it probably won't!

Birthday and Mobergs

This Saturday Jonna turned 22.

CONGRATULATIONS BABE!!!

Johanna Atterby

After eating cake at her place, in dazzling sunshine, we went to Norrtälje to Roberts place and hung out with a couple of friends. Then of we went to Trädgården and Mobergs... and it turned out to become a truly GREAT evening with loads of fun! =) THANKS to all you guys who made that evening great!

a little bit of this a little bit of that

Last Monday I went to Stockholm hoping to find a few things on the summersale that is going on in there at the moment. What a mess the stores are in these days! Clothes are piling up on the tables and it's hard to find anything you like. But I found this cute skirt at Zara and it was 70% off!!! That means ALOT for a poor student like me :) I also bought few other things; 3 t-shirts and dark blue pantyhose.

I'm gonna try and hold on to the rest of the money I have and save them for a trip to London which is definately the greatest shopping city I've ever been to.

Bounce Summer Camp 2007

The year 04/05 I went to streetdance and it was such a great experience. I would definately say that dancing is the best exercise ever. For me it was surely the most effective way to shape up the entire body. I've never felt as fit as I did after that year. There's not that many forms of exercise that tones so many parts of your body. Unfortunately the dancing ended when I got to Newbold but every now and then I get that inspiring feeling that makes me want to jump around.

The Swedish streetdance group Bounce surely knows how to inspire people, and once I were at their live show in Stockholm (birthday present from Jonna, thanks darling). Every year they have a dance camp in Stockholm. I WISH I WAS THERE, but I guess that when you're 22 years old you don't fit in as well. hehe

But anyways... here's a video from this years summer camp and the choreography made me rediscover Björk's new album!

who needs a hairdresser?

Can't believe it has been over 2 years since I've gotten my hair cut by a hairdresser! Yesterday I did it myself again (and flat ironed it).

foxy!

Today just before we went to the cinema a little fox went through our yard. It was really beautiful, not suffering from scabies or anything... It's rare to see them so close in the middle of the day.

here are some pics:

Fragile

Tonight I went to the movies with Robert, and we saw Fragile with Calista Flockhart. I love movies that manages to scare you only by implying things and creating the tension through subtle means. Blood and killing in a horror movies doesn't really frighten you to the bone, at least it doesn't work that well on me. To truly scare me you have to create an atmosphere with music and colours. Fragile really did that, and the story has a little twist that made it even better!

Thank you Robert for a great evening and yet again I've stuffed my stomach with too many unhealthy substances like candy and food. (Yes I'm still full!)
